Leader of Purchasing Department / Purchasing Manager 100% (m/w)

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you coordinate a small team with the following main responsibilities across all purchasing functions:

• Management of the existing supplier base with monthly coordination of the supply quantities in consideration of production capacities, costs, and quality
• Revision of the supplier base based on scouting activities: Identification of new suppliers during the research phase of new products, responsible for ensuring targets in terms of quality, costs, schedule, and certifications (ISO 9001; ISO 14001; ISO 18001)
• Management and coordination of the team’s work with internal departments such as sales, development, planning, process preparation, production, and quality
• Regular analysis as well as initiation and implementation of cost-saving potentials in close cooperation with the relevant departments
• Preparation of a cockpit report to measure supply chain progress and potential action plan

You have several years of purchasing experience with multinational and mid-sized manufacturing companies, even if not in a direct leadership role.

• Successfully completed basic technical qualification; further training in the field of purchasing would be of advantage
• Cultivation of modern organizational approaches as well as a high level of interest in IT and management systems
• You are characterized by your openness, communicative skills, solution-orientation, negotiation skills
• A sound understanding of the associated legal and contractual aspects
• Very good English and Italian language skills, both written and spoken
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 30%
