Our client has been specialising in the design and construction of cast resin transformers for more than 35 years. As a member of a group of companies and with two business locations of its own, our client is active around the globe. With its technologically advanced products and the services it provides, our client offers comprehensive solutions that meet the needs of every customer. For our client’s business location in Arezzo, Italy, we are looking for a Sales Director - Cast Resin Transformers.

Your responsibilities:

In this role, you will develop and implement a clear sales strategy for the international markets and key accounts in close cooperation with the Group’s Chief Sales Officer. Within your markets, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Develop a result-oriented market entry plan and identify new growth opportunities
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the market dynamics and of the competition within the sector
  • Establish and manage a competitive partner network
  • Customise the product mix and adapt the sales efforts to meet the needs of potential new accounts
  • Achieve order intake and revenue goals within your markets
  • Provide accurate monthly forecasts for order intake and revenue streams
  • Scout databases for public and major customer tenders
  • Initiate pre-qualification processes to enable close collaboration with the product managers at the factories
  • Define and implement an annual tradeshow schedule for your region and attend key tradeshows
  • Maintain constant communications with the factory sales teams to develop a common approach and working philosophy for the markets
  • Coach and develop the sales team
  • Global development of the cast resin transformers market
Your profile:

You have many years of experience in sales, and you are familiar with our industry as well as with the relevant markets. You have a proven track record in key account management. You apply an analytic and structured approach based on methodical thinking coupled with a can-do mentality. Additionally, you have the following resources:

  • University or university of applied sciences degree in electrical engineering
  • Strong network in the energy sector and excellent knowledge of the fields of energy and electrical engineering
  • Experience with cast resin transformers
  • Experience in the development of new sales territories
  • Leadership experience
  • Italian mother tongue and business fluent in English
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time with home base in Italy
